Latest Trend in Wedding Favors
August 2, 2006
It's all in the details when it comes to personalizing your wedding. Wedding favors are one of the details that, while small, can make a big impression on your wedding guests. "While Jordan almonds wrapped in tulle are still the perennial favorite, many bridal couples are looking for wedding favors that are unique and memorable," explains Cheryl Gabiola Galvez, owner of Bliss! Weddings Market. Gabiola Galvez shares a few of her favorite wedding favors that are making an impression at today's weddings:
CANDY BAR
Hand an empty box to someone and tell 'em to fill it to the brim with different varieties of candy. Who's going to say "no" to that? Fill big glass cylinder jars, the ones found in old candy shops, with brightly-colored candies and instruct your guests to "have at it"! Chinese takeout containers or glassine envelopes make taking home the treats stylish and simple!
PERSONALIZED AUDIO CDS
Sharing a compilation of your favorite memorable tunes packaged in stylish cd cases is both practical and fun!
LOTTERY TICKETS
Not even candy gets devoured as fast as the possibility of winning a few greens. $1 state lotto tickets are fun and cheap and they won't collect dust in someone's curio. You're "lucky in love" so why not spread some luck to family and friends?
CHARITABLE DONATIONS
Instead of spending their money on edibles that might not get eaten or decorative favors that will collect dust, more and more bridal couples are opting to donate to charity. The money they would've spent on favors will be given to their favorite charitable organization. A small, decorative piece of paper can explain the donation as well as the organization's worthy cause. Insert the paper into a stylish envelope or roll it up like a scroll and tie with ribbon.
"GREEN" FAVORS
Give away wedding favors that give back to the planet! Flower seeds, mini bird's nest and mini size plants make wonderful eco-friendly wedding favors and gifts.
